Prime-of-prime vs direct LP
Assess eligibility, credit arrangements, settlement/clearing, minimum monthly volume, collateral/margin, last-look or execution restrictions and applicable client jurisdiction.
Forex broker liquidity
Choose liquidity providers, connect prices and orders, set A-book or B-book rules, and control trading risk before you launch.
Broker liquidity selection and integration · buyer decision guide
Liquidity is not a generic feed subscription. The broker must compare execution venue, prime-of-prime or direct LP access, permitted instruments, credit/collateral terms, spreads and commissions, quote stability, order reject rates, swaps, settlement and legal market-access conditions before integrating technology.
Ask for comparable all-in executable quotes, commission per million, fill/reject evidence and counterparty jurisdiction; the cheapest top-of-book spread is not necessarily the lowest execution cost.
Assess eligibility, credit arrangements, settlement/clearing, minimum monthly volume, collateral/margin, last-look or execution restrictions and applicable client jurisdiction.
Review spread distributions by symbol/session, tick freshness, asymmetric markups, fill ratios, slippage statistics, rejects and news-period behaviour—not screenshots of ideal market spreads.
For permitted dealing models, separate client exposure from hedged LP positions. Reconcile open positions, swap, commission, currency conversion, stress limits and loss containment.
Map instrument precision, lot sizes and multiplier, account group, market hours, liquidity depth, gateway permissions and execution statuses to the client terminal.
Acceptance 1
Replay identical sample orders via candidate LPs across quiet/news sessions and compare net spread+commission+slippage rather than raw quote only.
Acceptance 2
Match fills, swaps, commission, exposure and client position across MT5/bridge/LP ledgers at end of day.
Acceptance 3
Test widened spreads, halted symbols, market-close liquidity, disconnect and LP credit limits with defined broker response.
| Line item | Published reference or quote | Verify separately |
|---|---|---|
| Liquidity connection | Negotiated provider quote | Counterparty onboarding, available asset classes, minimum volumes and credit/collateral. |
| Spread + commissions | Live quote + contract | Publish normalized commission, markup, swap and slippage rather than an unverifiable headline. |
| MT5 bridge and monitoring | From $2,500/month bridge planning reference where applicable | LP-only cost is not the same as total broker technology operating cost. |
LP onboarding and trading access depend on independent regulated-entity and counterparty eligibility. No liquidity provider approval, spread, pricing, leverage or execution outcome is guaranteed. Package terms and costs require an up-to-date written vendor proposal.
Implementation acceptance
A successful demonstration is not a go-live approval. Request named owners, documented requirements, test-account evidence, exception handling, a recovery procedure and written commercial terms before onboarding clients.
CHECK 1
Record required integrations, responsibility boundaries, commercial terms and exclusions.
CHECK 2
Test both a successful transaction and a failed or rejected case using representative data.
CHECK 3
Check permissions, logs, account or order records, fees and operational reports against source systems.
CHECK 4
Confirm escalation contacts, backup procedures, exit terms and documented rollback acceptance.
Regulatory permissions and suitability depend on the jurisdiction and target market; a technology service does not substitute for legal authorization.
