Forext platform setup checklist

Six stage implementation roadmap.

Each phase has specific acceptance evidence rather than vague “turnkey in a week” promises. Implementation workstreams may overlap, but the documented gates should not be skipped.

01

Business and regulation

Specify legal entity, customer countries, instruments, principal/agency model, marketing permissions and handling of client funds. Technology procurement is not legal authorization.

  • Jurisdiction and intended regulated activity reviewed
  • Company and beneficial ownership records prepared
  • Local counsel and payment/banking eligibility checked

Common forex trading platform setup questions.

Can I start an own forex platform without MetaTrader?

TRADE OS provides a separately marketed platform route. Check the product scope and platform contract, and do not assume MetaQuotes software or a forex brokerage licence is included.

Is forex platform setup only installing software?

No. The user-facing terminal is one layer; pricing and trade execution, customer identity, payments, capital and operational controls also need independent contractual and technical readiness.

How long does forex trading platform setup take?

The schedule depends on permission, platform contracting, development, liquidity/provider onboarding, KYC/payment eligibility and acceptance tests. A fixed timeline cannot be promised.

How much does my own forex trading platform cost?

TRADE OS published package rates are $2,500, $4,000 and $5,000 per month for Basic, Turnkey and Server respectively. Additional implementation, regulatory, hosting, CRM, market data and payment costs must be itemized separately.

Can a prop platform be used for a regulated forex broker?

Software components can overlap, but evaluation-only account rules and a brokerage offering real customer trading are different operating and legal models. Validate permissions and platform rights before reusing components.

What is the difference between an MT5 server and my own forex platform?

MT5 main-platform rights come from a separate MetaQuotes authorization process. TRADE OS is a separately marketed product. Pricing, brand rights, features and support terms should not be conflated.
